Celebrating Kanoe’s birthday at Roy’s

On a rainy Southern California night we headed out to Anaheim Roy’s. But let me tell you, our pleasurable experience began way before we got there. A few hours prior I made our reservations online and was set up within minutes followed by a confirmation email with driving directions. When we got there we were greeted with a ”happy birthday Kanoe” Then when we got to our table and Kanoe opened her menu, a Happy Birthday note resided on the left panel. Another nice personal touch. The menu was excellent as always and they also offered a three course meal for $35 (that’s like the price of one entree). During our meal we were constantly engaged in conversation with our waiter and also the manager. After our main course they brought out a special birthday desert personalized with chocolate. They even took our picture with it, printed it out and framed it for us. As we were walking out they said ”goodbye Mike and Kanoe.” The attention to detail and the personalized service was amazing. It’s businesses like Roy’s who go above and beyond to make the customer experience personal that will thrive recession or no recession. I’ve been to Roy’s many times, but this was the first time we ever had this level of service.
